Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership

Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the practical use of digital tools and resources.

Team Talk
  • Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.

  • Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others.

  • Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make practical use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning.

  • Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.

Reflection:

This standard focus on teachers ' professional development and promotion of leadership. Teachers can promote their professional practice through the practical use of digital tools and resources, establish the model of lifelong learning for students, and show strong leadership ability in their schools and professional community.

Needs Assessment:

"Needs assessment is an important stage of both curriculum development and school curriculum development. Thus needs assessment informs important information and decisions for school curriculum to develop awareness and sense of responsibility for protecting water resources". A needs assessment serves as meaningful sources of information for teachers, helping them identify what they taught well and what they need to work on.

Self-reflection can be a valuable tool that helps make you aware of how they are teaching. A video can help teachers reflect on their work, identify essential issues while teaching a valuable lesson.

JASP Data Analysis:

Data, such as students' learning outcome, performance, or records,  can help teachers identify where their students are struggling with. Teachers also can use data to know about students' shortcomings and to provide remediation in those areas tailored to the student's individual needs.

Research paper:

Writing a research paper allows you to expound on your points about one specific topic. In my research paper, I tried to state my points in an orderly way and organize my sentence to make it correctly support the central idea of the topic. Grammar has always been a problem for me. Although the emphasis of a research paper is then content, grammar also matters a lot. When writing my research paper, I keep focusing on checking the grammar. A research paper with proper grammar will make the writing more efficient and more qualitative.

Video Reflection

Video reflection is helpful in the class to encourage students to articulate what they have learned and to aid them in thinking about how they have learned. The video reflection I created about the instructional design is a presentation of how I understand about this topic, and conversely, provide me with better recognition and understanding of instructional design.

Future Learning Goals:

Professional development is not active unless it causes us, teachers, to improve our instruction, which means before pursuing the professional development, we must learn how to put our knowledge and skills to work. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to determine, and problem solves together to ensure all students achieve success. I will regularly evaluate and reflect on my teaching behaviors, try to find all the deficiencies and promote self-improvement continually.
